And for more insight on this week's summit and what we can expect going foward.... we have with us in the studio Professor Kim Hyun-wook from the Korea National Diplomatic Academy. <br />So good to have you here.<br /><br /> Hello Ji-yoon.<br /><br /> 1- So this week's inter-Korean summit in Pyongyang produced agreement on some basic essentials of a real denuclearization process as well as hopes of improved inter-Korean ties in various fields.<br />What were some of the things that stood out to you the most this week?<br /><br /> 2- President Moon Jae-in said after returning home from Pyeongyang, that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un expressed his wish to finish complete denuclearization at an early date... and focus on economic development<br />And then he added that Kim was willing to accelerate denuclearization in exchange for security guarantees from the U.S.<br />What can we make of this?<br /><br /> 3- The U.S. was quick to respond to this week's summit outcome.<br />President Trump's reaction to it all was quite positive while U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that he invited his North Korean counterpart Ri Yong-ho to meet when they are in New York for the UN General Assembly meeting... adding that this will mark the beginning of negotiations to transform U.S.-North Korea relations.<br /><br /> 4- So what can we expect going forward?<br />When would we see the second Kim-Trump summit happen and when would Kim Jong-un travel to Seoul?<br />How do you see the denuclearization process and talks going from here on out?<br /><br /> Thank you for your insight today. <br />
