Infants and a <br />Newborn Stabbed <br />at New York Day Care New York police have confirmed <br />that five people—including one <br />newborn and two infants — The victims are reported to be in critical but stable condition at <br />local hospitals. Nine babies and some of their parents were in the home during the attack, according to NYPD Assistant Chief Juanita Holmes. The suspect is a 52-year-old female employee of the day-care center. She, too, was taken to a hospital after slashing her <br />own wrist. Lt. Thomas Antonetti said that the motive in the 3:45 a.m. attack is unclear at this time.
