This video shows a big bull rhino relieving an itch on his butt, much to the amusement of onlookers on the safari.<br /><br />Filmed in Kruger National Park, the clip captures the rhino rubbing his bum against the wallow, and then lying down in the mud and rolling around.<br /><br />White rhinos are fond of playing in the mud to help them cope with excessive summer heat conditions, a layer of mud helping to prevent sunburn and adding moisture close to the skin to help them keep cool. Once dried, the mud also acts as a parasite removing wax treatment that the rhino will rub off their skin against a tree or rock or any hard surface with the right height, as demonstrated in the video.<br /><br />Once done, the rhino is seen letting go of three powerful sprays of urine to mark his territory.
