<br /> <p>The South Carolina National Guard rehearsed their plans for flood response operations in Georgetown on September 23, ahead of continued warnings of severe flooding</a>, more than a week after Hurricane Florence hit the area.</p><p>102 soldiers</a> were deployed to Georgetown, South Carolina, to work on a secondary plan of action in anticipation of possible flooding where the Highway 17 “Ocean Highway” bridges converge in the Winyah Bay area, they reported.</p><p>Floodwater from Hurricane Florence left rivers swelling, threatening to swamp communities and leaving as many as 8,000 people on alert for possible evacuation, CBS reported.</p><p>Flood levels in the area were expected to reach 10 to 12 feet.
