Korean boyband BTS become first K-pop group to speak at UN General Assembly

President Moon is not the only one representing South Korea at the UN General Assembly this week. K-Pop superstars BTS have also made an appearance to support a UNICEF youth initiative.<br /> The leader of the seven-member boyband, Kim Nam-joon, delivered a speech on UNICEF's global partnership called "Generation Unlimited."<br />The initiative aims to create opportunities for young people between 10 and 24 years old.<br />BTS also put on a short gig before dignitaries,... including South Korea's First Lady Kim Jung-sook. <br />The group worked with the UN last year on awareness and fundraising campaigns,… joining up with the Korean Committee for UNICEF to release the song 'Love Myself'.<br />Proceeds from that tune -- that reached a cool one million dollars -- was donated to UNICEF. <br />
