<p>The Italian Red Cross said</a> winds were causing a wildfire in the province of Pisa to spread rapidly, with local residents from several towns evacuated and schools closed</a> on Tuesday, September 25.</p><p>The flames, fanned by gusts of wind, were first reported at around 10 pm on September 24 on Mount Serra in the commune of Calci, local news site TGCOM24 reported</a>.</p><p>Early on September 25 the fire was burning towards Caprona in the southeast of the country, where evacuations were in place.
