'Veronica Mars' Heads to Hulu for New Episodes According to series star Kristen Bell, an <br />eight-episode season will premiere on Hulu <br />next year. The cult series originally aired on UPN and the CW from 2004 to 2007 before it was canceled. It was then made <br />into a movie in 2014. The show follows Bell as Veronica Mars, a high school student who moonlights as a <br />private investigator. Series creator Rob Thomas is also coming back to write the first episode and produce the series. Last month, word broke that Hulu was working on a revival of the show. The new season will follow Veronica as she’s hired to investigate the murders of spring breakers in <br />Daytona Beach, Florida. In addition, Hulu says it will stream the show’s existing three seasons and movie starting next summer.
