<p>Separatist demonstrators</a> gathered outside a Barcelona courthouse on September 27, mirroring an earlier protest after which jail terms were recommended for 11 participants.</p><p>In February</a> protesters from CDR Catalunya, an alliance dedicated to independence for Catalonia, chained themselves to gates at the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Catalunya.</p><p>In a statement</a> posted on Twitter, the group rejected the proposed jail terms and said its members had taken part in a non-violent protest.</p><p>They also said they wanted to mark the anniversary of the shooting of anti-Franco activists on September 27, 1975.
