The top nuclear envoys of South Korea and the U.S. have held three meetings on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly to discuss North Korea issues.<br />The South Korean mission to the UN, Lee Do-hoon, the foreign ministry's representative for Korean Peninsula peace and security affairs, met with Stephen Biegun,... the U.S. Special Representative for North Korea from Wednesday to Thursday.<br />The two reportedly evaluated the recent inter-Korean summit in Pyeongyang, the bilateral summit between Presidents Moon and Trump... and exchanged views on how to accelerate the denuclearization process.<br />They also talked about U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's planned visit to Pyeongyang next month and even the proposed second Trump-Kim summit.<br />The meetings were held after Pompeo revealed he invited North Korean officials to meet Biegun in Vienna at the "earliest opportunity." <br />
