<p>Strong waves were churned up along the coast of southern Greece as a “Medicane” – a Mediterranean cyclone – named Zorbas brought torrential rain and fierce winds to the region.</p><p>This footage shows waves smashing along a beach in the coastal city Kalamata, located on the Peloponnese peninsula. The waves knock over street side umbrellas by the beach and drench several passerby.</p><p>According to Ekathimerini</a>, Methoni and Finikounda, also in Peloponnese, were other seaside communities pummeled by waves due to Zorbas.
