Cristiano Ronaldo has denied as "fake news" accusations of rape made by an American woman.<br /> In an Instagram video, the Juventus and Portuguese footballer said people wanted to be famous by using his name, adding it was all part of the job.<br />Kathryn Mayorga told Germany's Der Spiegel magazine that Ronaldo raped her in a hotel room in Las Vegas in 2009.<br />She reportedly reached an out-of-court agreement with the footballer to not go public with the alleged rape for a payment of 375,000 U.S. dollars.<br />Her lawyers are now seeking to declare the non-disclosure agreement void.<br />Ronaldo's lawyers said they will sue the magazine to seek compensation for what they called "moral damages." <br />
