Tens of thousands of tourists flocked to the Great Wall of China in the country's capital on National Day.<br /><br />This video, filmed on October 1, shows the movement of the crowd slowing to a crawl at the famous capital site.<br /><br />According to local media, 37,000 tourists were said to have been at the Great Wall that day, a 39.6% increase compared to previous years. Authorities estimate that the attraction will see even larger crowds in the later half of the week's celebrations, during which locals mark the country's birth.
