A resident in West Palau filmed the destruction caused by the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that hit the coast of Sulawesi on September 28.<br /><br />Footage filmed the morning after the tremor shows the remains of dozens of houses in the village of Balaroa.<br /><br />The official death toll from Friday's disaster was today increased from 844 to 1,234.<br /><br />Recovery efforts and mass burials are underway as the island grieves for the lives lost in the deadly disaster.
