<p>The Italian riviera resort of Laigueglia was battered with large hailstones in an intense downpour on October 1, which churned the sea and pounded the empty sun loungers.</p><p>Claudio Martino, who runs the Bagni Pino private beach and bar in Laigueglia, shot this footage from his premises, commenting on Facebook, “when nature is scary.”</p><p>Further updates he posted from the scene showed the beach turned white in the wake of the downpour.
