FDA Seizes Thousands of Documents From Juul at Surprise Inspection The FDA took the documents related to the company’s marketing practices from its<br />San Francisco HQ. Commissioner Scott Gottleib calls teen use of the vaping devices an “epidemic.” Juul CEO Kevin Burns said the vape company walked the FDA through "every part"<br />of its business. That included its marketing practices and age-verification tools used on its online shop. Juul has been under the FDA’s microscope this year with e-cigs becoming popular among teens. The number of high school students who've used such products in the past 30 days is up by about 75%. That means roughly 3 million, or about 20% of high school kids, are using e-cigarettes.
