Kerry Kennedy was diagnosed with meningitis, while visiting family in San Fransisco.<br />Business Insider reports he completely lost his hearing because of the illness.<br />He and boyfriend Hayward Duresseau learned American Sign Language to communicate.<br />Fortunately, Kennedy recently gained the ability to hear again with a Cochlear Implant.<br />Immediately after he proposed to Duresseau and his proposal has gone viral. <br />
