This is the moment a man who fell into an 80-feet deep pit is pulled out alive. <br /><br />Altaf, 40, was walking on a dimly lit street in Hubli, Karnataka, India on September 26 when he fell into the pit. <br /><br />A construction crew had dug a deep-pile foundation and left it uncovered negligently. <br /><br />Altaf stepped into it and fell inside. A passer-by saw Altaf falling inside and raised an alarm immediately. <br /><br />A few people gathered at the spot and found that Altaf was conscious and able to communicate. They lowered a rope and pulled it up as Altaf managed to hold on to the other end. <br /><br />Altaf surfaced covered with mud. He was very emotional and was seen touching the feet of people who had rescued him, a sign of respect and gratitude in India. <br /><br />“I am lucky to be alive,” he said.
