Typhoon Kong-rey is now clear of the Korean Peninsula, but it caused significant damage on the southeastern coast as it passed over on Friday and Saturday.<br />According to the government of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province on Sunday, one senior citizen died and another went missing as they tried to flee from rising flood waters.<br />Another similar death was reported in Gyeonggi-do Province.<br />The flooding left at least 470 people homeless, most of them in Gyeongsangbuk-do.<br />There, roughly fourteen-hundred homes and six-point-six million square meters of farmlands were flooded. <br />
