Reuters reports that a tropical depression became Tropical Storm Michael on Sunday. It may become a hurricane by midweek, potentially bringing storm surges and heavy rainfall to the U.S. Gulf Coast. This according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center.<br />The storm was about 225 miles southwest of the western tip of Cuba at 2 p.m. eastern time. It was recorded to have had sustained winds of 40 mph. <br />
