FAISALABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former federal minister Abid Sher Ali’s mother passed away in wee hours on Tuesday.<br /><br />Zehra Begum, who was the first cousin of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, died of a cardiac arrest, the family sources said.<br /><br />After being informed about the demise of the PML-N leader’s mother, MPA Mian Tahir Jameel, deputy mayor Amin Butt, and other party leaders as well as relatives reached the former minister’s residence to offer their condolences.<br /><br />Last month, PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif’s wife and former MNA Begum Kulsoom Nawaz had passed away in London after a months-long battle with cancer.
