Something you might not see every day is a mollusc from the sea trying to eat. But this video shot last month (September 2) shows the unique way sea slugs ingest food.<br /><br />The footage was captured on the west coast of Canada near Victor Island in British Columbia when the filmer, J.D Gardener, set a crab trap in the water and retrieved the slimy surprise.<br /><br />Usually, the sea-dwelling invertebrate dines on only plant matter and plankton, which could explain the hapless attempt to eat the shrimp given to it by the filmer.
