The Act of of free Choice, 1969, was a fraudulent betrayl of West Papua's right to self detemination.<br /><br />The people of West Papua refuse the Act of free Choice as a claim of overeignty by Indonesia over West Papua.<br /><br />Indonesia claims 1025 people voted to join Indonesia in 1969.<br />In 2017, 1.8 million West Papuan people signed the West Papuan peoples petition rejecting the Act of free Choice and calling for an internationally supervised vote on independence.<br /><br />We demand a free and fair act of self determination under international law and to international standards. We demand an internationally supervised vote.
