Will Smith, via Instagram Smith will play the Genie in the live-action adaptation of the Disney classic. The Genie was previously voiced by <br />the late Robin Williams. The cast includes Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine and Marwan Kenzari <br />as Jafar. 'Aladdin' began filming in September 2017, <br />which also marks the original film's <br />25th anniversary. The pressure is on for the cast since the animated ‘Aladdin’ was the highest grossing film in 1992. The live-action 'Aladdin' premieres <br />May 24, 2019.
