US — Virgin Galactic is all set to launch its latest SpaceShipTwo, the VSS Unity. <br /><br />The ship is designed to carry two crew members as well as six passengers.<br /><br />However, tickets for the spacecraft do not come cheap. People have paid upwards of $250,000 for a seat, according to Digital Trends.<br /><br />The VSS Unity will first be taken into space with a carrier aircraft called the WhiteKnight Two, according to the Guardian.<br /><br />Once the spacecraft reaches a certain altitude, the VSS Unity will be "dropped" by the carrier aircraft, which is when its rocket engines fire up.<br /><br />The VSS Unity will have to reach heights of 100 km in order to reach space.<br /><br />Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Galactic, told CNBC he is confident that they would be in space "within weeks, not months."
