Fans haven't seen a new Nightmare on Elm Street film since the 2010 remake.<br />Iconic performer Robert Englund made the film's bad guy, Freddy Kruger, a house hold name.<br />He hasn't played Freddy since 2003.<br />Comic Book.com reports t's unlikely Englund will reprise the role for another film.<br />He still hopes that the franchise will develop a prequel that explains more about Freddy Krueger.<br />One abandoned sequel project was from the late director Tobe Hooper. <br />
