The number of unemployed people in Korea has risen to its highest level since the aftermath of the Asian Financial Crisis in 1999.<br />Data released by Statistics Korea show that in the third quarter this year the figure rose by an average of 102-thousand a month compared to the same period last year... to a combined one-million.<br />For the July-to-September period, that's the highest level in 19 years.<br />In response, the Ministry of Economy and Finance says it'll unveil comprehensive measures this week that include short-to-mid term plans to boost the number of jobs, investment and provide tax breaks. <br />
