Black and Hispanic Women Have Higher Risk of Dying in Childbirth A new study from the University of Michigan has found that black and Hispanic women are more likely to suffer complications during birth. These complications include blood clotting disorders <br />and heart failure. Non-Hispanic black women are 70% more likely to have serious problems during birth than non-Hispanic white women. Dr Lindsay Admon, Lead author of study, via 'Daily Mail' Celebrities such as Beyonce and Serena Williams have shed light on the issue. Beyonce suffered from pre-eclampsia during her pregnancy, and Serena developed pulmonary embolism after <br />her emergency C-section.
