The U.S. Senate has summoned top executives from the U.S. units of Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors to testify at a hearing on reports of engine fires involving Korean automobiles <br /> Reuters reports that the Senate Commerce Committee's request for the November 14th hearing comes as over 100 fire complaints have been filed with the Center for Auto Safety since mid-June,... that led to a recall of nearly three million vehicles.<br />The committee explained the hearing also aims to examine ways to mitigate engine fires and promptly responded to defects that may lead to vehicle fires. <br />
