<br /> Some of Stephen Hawking’s possessions are going up for auction.<br />HuffPost reports the online sale by auctioneer Christie’s features 22 items from Hawking’s.<br />Items include his doctoral thesis on the origins of the universe, some awards, and scientific papers such as “Spectrum of Wormholes.”<br />Hawking was diagnosed with ALS at age 22, and the disease eventually left him almost completely paralyzed.<br />He communicated through a voice-generating computer and moved in a series of high-tech wheelchairs. <br />
