This is the moment commuters dangerously crossed over tracks to board a train in Mumbai from the wrong side.<br /><br />Footage filmed at 8:30 am in Dica station in the bustling city shows locals jumping down from an opposite platform to attempt to board an arriving train from the wrong side.<br /><br />A train passes through the station along the tracks where dozens of people were previously standing, sounding its horn as it brushes past travellers.<br /><br />Mumbai's transport network is notoriously dangerous and is struggling under the weight of demand.<br /><br />Between 2007 and 2017 nearly 38,000 people have died in train-related incidents on Mumbai's rail network, according to Mumbai's police force.<br /><br />The majority of deaths on Mumbai's network are caused by people crossing over rail tracks, an issue brought about by a lack of pedestrian overpasses.
