High waves crash onto famous boardwalk as Hurricane Willa nears

The ‘Malecon’, a favorite city boardwalk, has been closed in Puerto Vallarta due to high waves from Hurricane Willa. It made landfall Tuesday evening as a Category 3. Damaging winds and flooding remain a concern through midweek.
