A greedy raccoon whose head became stuck in a jar, after it tried to lick peanut butter from the bottom, was freed yesterday (October 30) following a day-long rescue mission.<br /><br />The peckish creature was spotted by a homeowner, who noticed the jar lodged on the raccoon’s snout and face as she fed her cats in her backyard. <br /><br />The resident, of Centereach, New York, US, immediately called the Strong Island Animal Rescue League but by the time they arrived the raccoon had fled.
