Business Insider reports that Brits all over the UK are getting ready for the annual Guy Fawkes Day celebrations.<br />The festivities commemorate the night of November 5, 1605, when Guy Fawkes attempted to assassinate the king.<br />Once night falls, families, friends, and communities come together to celebrate the failed assassination attempt.<br />Every celebration centers on a large bonfire featuring an effigy which is known as the Guy (after Guy Fawkes). <br />
