According to Reuters, Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed hope and optimism for negotiations between Beijing and Washington DC.<br />While speaking with state media, President Xi said he hoped China and the United States would develop a steady and health relationship, and expand bilateral trade cooperation.<br />President Xi's comments followed a phone call with US President Donald Trump ahead of the G-20 Summit in Argentina, where the two presidents may meeting. <br />
