South Korea and the United States have resumed their joint marine exercises,... which had been suspended since May in a bid to ease tensions with North Korea. <br />The two allies' marine forces begin joint training earlier on this Monday near the southeastern port city of Pohang.<br />For the next two weeks, some 500 troops will conduct the Korea Marine Exercise Program. <br />Seoul and Washington suspended this year's major joint military exercises, including Ulchi Freedom Guardian in the summer and Vigilant Ace slated for December.<br />They are expected to decide on the course of next year's large-scale drills before December 1st. <br />
