Starting this afternoon, South and North Korea are going to begin a joint field survey on the peaceful use of river estuaries.<br />The inspection is part of September's comprehensive inter-Korean military agreement,.. where the two sides agreed to jointly use the Hangang and Imjingang river estuaries along the inter-Korean border region.<br />According to Seoul's defense ministry, the joint inspection team is made up of 10 people from each side,... including military and maritime officials, and civil waterway experts.<br />The defense ministry also said.... it plans to complete the field survey of the 70 kilometer-long zone by the end of this year.<br />Once complete,... nautical charts on the estuaries will be provided to allow private ships to use the estuaries. <br />
