Try this famous dessert recipe at home this Diwali and share your feedback in the comments below.<br /><br /><br />Ingredients:<br />1/2 cup Wheat Flour<br />1/2 cup Maida<br />3 tbsp Semolina<br />1/2 tsp Fennel seed powder<br />Green Cardamom, crushed<br />4 tbsp Mawa+Milk<br />Milk<br />Oil for frying<br /><br /><br />For Syrup<br />1/2 cup Water<br />1 cup Sugar<br />Green Cardamom, crushed<br />Saffron<br /><br />For Garnishing:<br />Pistachios flakes<br />Almond falkes<br />A pinch of fennel seed powder<br />Fennel seeds<br /><br />Method of preparation:<br />In a bowl add wheat flour, maida, semolina, fennel seed powder, crushed green cardamom, mix well.<br />Add mawa and milk mixture, milk, mix well and see that there are no lumps formed.<br />Heat oil in a vessel, add a laddle full of batter and deep fry it on low flame.<br />Take it out on a plate and let it cool.<br />Once the Malpua's have cooled down transfer it into the luke warm sugar syrup for 3-4 minutes.<br />Plate the malpua and garnish it with dry fruits and fennel seed powder.<br /><br />For Syrup<br />In a pan heat water, add sugar, cardamom, saffron, mix well and once the sugar melts, lower the flame.<br />Cook it for 4-5 minutes on low flame and keep stirring it simultaneously.<br /><br />Our Malpua's are ready to serve.
