S. Korea's current account surplus surpasses US$10 bil. mark in Sept., first time in year

South Korea's current account surplus in September surpassed the 10 billion U.S. dollar mark for the first time in a year,... while recording a surplus for the 79th month in a row.<br /> According to the Bank of Korea on Tuesday,.... the surplus was 10-point-8-3 billion dollars,... the highest since September 2017.<br />The goods account surplus also posted a yearly record high... although the nation's export and imports declined in September on-year due to fewer business days. <br />There were four fewer working days compared to the same period last year... due to the Chuseok holiday which fell in the last week of September this year.<br />Current account refers to a nation's transactions with the rest of the world,...including its trade in goods and services. <br />
