The Ford GT supercar will soon be available in the US as a particularly exclusive 'carbon' version - 18 kilograms lighter than the 'conventional' GT road version - making it the 'Carbon' - now the third Ford GT special edition - The lightest Ford GT ever and features more carbon / carbon fiber elements than any previous GT model.<br /><br />The "Carbon" is based on the current Ford GT (model year 2019) and will be extremely rare: only a single copy should be built per week.<br /><br />The weight savings of around 18 kilograms are provided by a variety of lightweight components such as carbon / carbon fiber wheels, a titanium exhaust system, titanium wheel nuts and a polycarbonate engine cover at the rear with additional ventilation, and the cup holders are no longer needed.<br /><br />On the other hand, the Ford engineers donated the vehicle air conditioning and an audio system including the communication and entertainment system Ford SYNC 3.
