Armed forces representatives and volunteers have ignited around 10,000 torches scattered at the foot of the Tower of London in honour of the fallen soldiers of World War One.<br /><br />This display, accompanied by a specially commissioned sound installation featuring choral music and words from Mary Borden’s Sonnets To A Soldier on Sunday evening, marks the centenary of the end of the war.<br /><br />The Tower of London’s torch ceremony, called Beyond the Deepening Shadow, will be repeated every night until Remembrance Sunday on 11 November.
