President Moon Jae-in has reiterated his pledge to establish a fair economy in South Korea,... insisting the importance of ensuring the working class, local businesses, SMEs, and conglomerates can prosper together.<br /><br />"For our economy, it shouldn't be about speed anymore. Rather it's about continuing to push ahead together." <br /><br />The President's remarks came during the Fair Economy Strategy Meeting on Friday, held at the COEX Convention Center in southern Seoul.<br />He stressed that the nation has seen remarkable growth.... thanks to the collective hard work of the people,.... but the achievements and benefits were mostly concentrated on conglomerates.<br />President Moon asserted that only fair competition and fair reward for one's work can lead to innovation.<br />He pledged the government will take steps to fix unfair business practices to ensure equal opportunities and fair competition for all. <br />
