Ride share company Lyft just removed Split Pay, the feature that lets users split ride fares with other passengers.<br />The ride-hailing company didn't offer a reason for removing the feature.<br />It said "easier and smoother ways to split your fare" are coming next year.<br />Uber, Lyft's direct competitor, still offers fare splitting. <br />
