Five people died in their cars in Northern California on Friday, trying to escape a raging wildfire.<br />Reuters reports hundreds of homes were believed destroyed in Paradise, some 90 miles north of Sacramento.<br />Officials fear the death toll may rise, once crews put out the flames and inspect destroyed properties.<br />Five hundred miles south, Malibu residents also fled in the face of a monster firestorm. <br />
