The Camp Fire raging in Paradise, California, has destroyed thousands of structures – among them the Honey Run Covered Bridge, built in 1886 during the Gold Rush era.<br /><br />This video shows the remains of the historic site: charred wooden beams, rippled sheet metal and loose wiring.<br /><br />According to the website of the Honey Run Covered Bridge Association, the bridge served as the first road between Chico and Paradise, a necessary crossing after the discovery of gold in Butte County in the late-19th century.<br /><br />The fire has scorched 110,000 acres as of Sunday night. 29 deaths have been reported so far, making it one of the most devastating fires in state history.
