Our translators, saw the Hebrew word and said, if a vine does not bear fruit, you are to cut it out. .
The season of harvesting the grapes was a joyous season for the whole village. People would bring their fruits, dates bring them to the vine press, and bare foot they would step, adults and children together, step on the grapes to produce the grape juice.

I would call your name oh Lord my God
And lift up the cup of salvation
I would call your name oh Lord my God
And lift up the cup of rain

The grape juice would then be collected in jars of clay, put in a cold place a so it would not ferment too much, and that time, together with the whole village was a time that you would celebrate what God has done for the fruits that you have planted, and are now giving you abundance of joy.

With each celebration from Shabbat to the feast, wine was used. It was a part of our feast to the Lord, giving thanks to him, the blessing, Baruch Ata Adonai, Eloheinu Melekh Ha'olam, Borei Pri Hagafen, who gives us the fruit of the vine, we never forgot, who brought us this fruit and this joy so abundantly.
"Baruch ata adonai eloheinu melekh ha'olam borei pri Hagafen"
Blessed are you, Lord, our God, sovereign of the universe,
Who creates the fruit of the vine

And Jesus when he said about himself, I am the true vine and you are the branches he was talking exactly about that, there is something in the picture, it is so graphic. How the stems are connected to the branches, cluster of green leaves and fruits, and the Lord Jesus and us do the same thing, we have to abide in him, one in the other, so that there would be no separation in the Lord Yeshua.
