Three South Korean petroleum and refinery companies have plead guilty to criminal charges and agreed to pay a total of 236 million U.S. dollars for their involvement in a bid-rigging scheme to supply U.S. military bases in Korea. <br /> According to the U.S. Department of Justice on Wednesday,… three companies, SK Energy, GS Caltex and Hanjin Transportation, are accused of involvement in a conspiracy to suppress competition during the bidding process for fuel contracts from 2005 to 2016. <br />The U.S. Justice Department said the settlement is part of a larger investigation involving other companies. <br />
