Fire crews made progress on the Sierra Fire in Fontana, California on November 14, reaching 85 percent containment as of that afternoon.<br /><br />The fire sparked at around 9:30 pm the night before, spreading quickly to 20 acres in about half an hour. Nearby structures were briefly threatened, and a roadway was shut to protect homes and other buildings.<br /><br />No structures were burned and no mandatory evacuations were issued, authorities reported.
