According to Reuters, the United States will oppose a resolution in the United Nations regarding the Golan Heights.<br />For years the US has abstained from voting on the Occupied Syrian Golan resolution in the international body.<br />But Nikki Haley, the US Ambassador to the United Nations, is expected to vote against the resolution.<br />The UN General Assembly committee previously approved a draft of the resolution, which passed by a vote of 151 in favor, with 14 abstentions. <br />
