S. Koreans visiting N. Korea for anniversary of civilian tours to Mt. Geumgang

A group of more than 100 South Koreans are heading to North Korea's Mount Geumgangsan today to celebrate an anniversary.<br />It was 20 years ago that Hyundai Group started tours to the mountain for South Korean civilians.<br />Hyundai had suggested the event and North Korea agreed to it.<br />The group's chair, Hyun Jeong-eun is attending together with South Korean lawmakers and former ministers of unification,... while the North is sending around 80 officials from its Asia-Pacific Committee.<br />Hyundai Asan spearheaded major inter-Korean projects -- both the tours to Mount Geumgangsan and the Gaeseong Industrial Complex.<br />The mountain tours stopped, though, after a South Korean tourist was shot dead in 2008.<br />Seoul's unification ministry says... Hyundai heading up north today... is purely to celebrate the anniversary... and has nothing to do with resuming the tours. <br />
