A tornado touched down in Canterbury, located on New Zealand's South Island, on Sunday afternoon.<br /><br />"I was working in a field right next to where the tornado went past. Unsure whether to get closer for a better look or run away, I stayed next to the tractor and filmed it go past," Matt, who shot the video, said. "As it went past it got very cold and the wind became very strong."<br /><br />While witnesses on social media said the experience of seeing the tornado go by was frightening and dramatic, authorities have had no reports of damage.
